Description

ABOUT THIS COFFEE

The northwest of Guatemala, Huehuetenango is one of the country’s non-volcanic coffee-producing areas. Coffee is grown at altitudes of nearly 2,000 meters ASL, with a variety of microclimates also helping to develop the region’s trademark fruit notes and juicy body. The temperate-to-cold climate, well-distributed rains and good soil conditions also contribute to ideal growing conditions.

This coffee is roasted to City Plus and has honey or caramel notes and a little bit of citrus flavor like tropical fruit. It also has a balanced body.

We recommend a cup of this coffee on a lazy afternoon with some smooth music.

John’s Note

  • Our Central American offering is this solid HueHue.  Many coffees from this part of Guatemala can be very bright but this fantastic bean is slightly more balanced.  It is a great all-day drinking coffee.  I roasted this coffee to a medium level in an effort to keep some of the coffee’s best qualities, notably a berry note as it cools.
  • Preparation Note: (Sing along now to Journey’s classic hit) Any way you want it, that’s the way you need it, any you want it!!
