Description

ABOUT THIS COFFEE

The region of Sidama is named for the Sidama people.
The region lies in the famous Great Rift Valley of East Africa that runs through Ethiopia to the Mozambique. The Sidama Zone has 19 distinct coffee producing districts with ideal soil and climatic conditions for the production of Arabica Coffee. This is why the coffee is the best.

Sidamo producers are known for “garden coffee” which is grown in kebeles (small villages). The coffee is planted at low density, ranging from 1000 to 1800 trees per hectare. All of the coffee produced under this system is agronomically organic – but most is not certified as such.

John’s Note

You won’t want to miss this beautiful coffee! Notes of blueberry, lavender and vanilla are prominent. This coffee is great in all brewing methods and makes a nice coffee drink with dairy and sweeteners.
