Description

ABOUT THIS COFFEE

The highest-grown Colombian coffee is cultivated in Nariño, a small region bordering Ecuador and the Pacific Ocean. Coffee from these slopes is well-balanced, with high acidity and medium body.

The production of specialty coffee in Nariño is an artisanal process led by the coffee grower, his or her family, and other members of the community with whom they share the work.

The coffee is roasted to Medium Dark (City-Plus) and has chocolate, citrus notes and cherry. It’s perfect for drip coffee.

John’s Note

  • At Star Spangled Roasters we strive to bring you coffees from each of the major growing regions. Representing South America this Colombian is one of my favorites. It is a full body coffee that delivers a great silky taste with a hint of chocolate and caramel. I roasted this coffee to a medium-dark to accentuate these qualities.
  • Preparation Note: This is a great coffee however you like it! With milk/creamer, black or with sweetener.  It holds up great as an espresso and is outstanding as a drip, pour over and French Press.
